An oil spill is threatening marine life

Our local partners are already assessing the affected areas and preparing an emergency response. The first priority is to contain the oil before it reaches additional stretches of coastline and important marine habitats.

At the same time, trained rescue teams are preparing to locate, recover and treat affected seabirds and other marine animals.

Your donation helps fund emergency equipment, wildlife rescue and the people needed on the ground. The faster we can respond, the more wildlife and habitat we can protect.

Emergency teams need protective equipment, containment barriers and specialist materials to prevent the oil from spreading further. Wildlife rescue teams also need transport, veterinary supplies and safe facilities to care for affected animals.

But our work does not end when the visible oil disappears. In the weeks and months ahead, we will work with local partners to monitor affected habitats and support their recovery.
